Important Parent Information
Agenda
Every student will be given an agenda at the beginning of the year. This agenda will go to and from school daily. Please make sure to initial your child's agenda before they return in to school the next day. This is a great communication tool between you and I. Please write any notes or changes in transportation in the agenda because I will be looking at these every morning. The agenda will also be where I write student's daily behavior color.
Homework Folder
All students will have a homework folder that they will use throughout the year that will go home every night. One side of the folder will be for things that need to be returned to school and the other side will be things that can be kept at home. I believe homework is an extension to your child's learning. There may not always be homework, but please make sure to check your child's folder nightly.
Friday Folder
On Friday, a special folder will go home containing your child's work from the week and any important papers from school. I will also send home a Kindergarten newsletter explaining what we have been up to that week. Please make sure to remove any student work and return any papers that need to be signed by the following Monday.
Snack
At certain times throughout the year each child will be responsible for providing a snack for the class. I will send out a snack calendar at the beginning of each month with your child's assigned day. Please keep cookies and other sweet treats for birthday snacks. I will make sure to assign snack days to accommodate each child's birthday or half birthday for those with summer birthdays. Birthday snacks can be any store bought sweet treat. Provided below is a list of snack ideas for regular school days:
pretzels
prewashed packaged fruit
graham crackers
Cheeze-Its
goldfish
animal crackers
Library Books
We will visit the library once a week. In order to make sure all books are returned on time or are not misplaced, I ask that all students return their book to their backpack when they are finished reading. Thank you in advance for helping me with this!
